Security forces have successfully conducted two separate counter‑terrorism operations in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, eliminating a total of 41 terrorists, the Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in an official statement.

According to the military’s media wing, troops launched the first major offensive in the rugged terrain of Harnai district, where they engaged terrorists from the state‑designated groups Fitna al‑Khawarij and Fitna al‑Hindustan.

In the intense firefight, 30 foreign terrorists, described by the ISPR as being sponsored by Indian intelligence, were killed. Ammunition and explosive materials were recovered from the scene, the statement added.

In a separate operation carried out in Panjgur district, security forces destroyed a major terrorist hideout after receiving actionable intelligence. Eleven terrorists were killed in the Panjgur action. Weapons and ammunition were seized from the slain militants, and authorities also recovered money believed to have been looted during a bank robbery on December 15, the ISPR said.

The Panjgur militants were reportedly involved in multiple terror activities in the region, the statement noted, while ongoing sanitisation operations continue in both Harnai and Panjgur to fully eliminate any remaining threats.

Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister lauded the courage and professionalism of the armed forces, describing their efforts as “major successes against terrorism.” He affirmed that the government and the people stand firmly behind the security forces in their fight to ensure national safety.

“We are determined to completely eradicate terrorism from the country,” Prime Minister Sharif emphasized, highlighting the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security.
