ISLAMABAD: PTI is pressing authorities to move quickly on the medical treatment of its founder after the Supreme Court ordered his transfer to Shifa International Hospital.

The party’s top committees called for immediate implementation of the directive and unrestricted access to necessary medical care.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf political and core committees welcomed the Supreme Court’s order during a joint meeting and urged authorities to transfer the party founder to the hospital without unnecessary delay or obstruction.

The party said the founder’s treatment should be carried out under the supervision of his personal physicians and that all necessary medical facilities should be made available to him.

PTI leadership stressed that the founder’s health should be treated as a humanitarian and national concern rather than a political matter. The committees said medical care for any prisoner is a basic necessity and should not be compromised.

The party called for the Supreme Court’s directions to be implemented fully, saying there should be no administrative or other hurdles that could delay or interfere with the founder’s treatment.

The joint meeting also called for necessary medical facilities and full access to medical examinations for Bushra Bibi.

PTI said she should receive adequate healthcare and essential facilities without unnecessary restrictions or obstacles.

Following the Supreme Court’s order, PTI instructed its members and supporters to avoid unnecessary gatherings outside Shifa International Hospital.

The party also urged workers not to engage in unnecessary videography around the hospital, saying crowds and such activity could create disturbances or interfere with the founder’s treatment.

The committees said the instructions were aimed at ensuring a calm environment around the hospital and preventing anything that could disrupt medical care.

PTI reiterated that the founder’s treatment should remain the immediate priority and called for his transfer to Shifa International Hospital to proceed in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directions.

The party said authorities should ensure that the founder receives the required medical facilities without delay while avoiding any action that could create unnecessary inconvenience or obstruction to his treatment.
