ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Saturday that efforts to finalize a peace agreement between Iran and the United States were in their final stages, adding that a deal could be completed within the next 24 hours.
In remarks shared through official statements, Sharif said the process of concluding the agreement had entered its “final phase” and expressed optimism that it could soon be formalized.
“The peace agreement is very close, and it may be finalized within the next 24 hours,” he was quoted as saying.
Prime Minister said that Pakistan is preparing to proceed with the electronic signing of a peace agreement, adding that technical-level talks are expected to begin next week.
He said detailed discussions at the technical level would start in the coming week, without providing further details about the scope or parties involved in the agreement.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Iran and the United States for participating in peace talks with commitment and seriousness, according to official statements.
He also thanked other friendly and regional countries for their support and assistance in facilitating the negotiation process.
Sharif said he was confident that the “historic agreement” would provide a strong foundation for lasting and durable peace in the region.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said he expects the Iran–US conflict to be resolved soon, expressing optimism that a peace agreement could be reached within one to two days, according to remarks shared by officials.
Naqvi said there is strong hope that positive developments will emerge on the Iran–U.S. agreement in the coming days.

He also said Field Marshal and prime minister would represent the country in the ongoing diplomatic efforts.
