Minnie Driver, who was recently involved in a “really bad car accident,” has shared an update on her health and recovery.
The 56-year-old British-American actress and singer was involved in a serious accident in France when another vehicle hit her car at an intersection after failing to stop because of its speed. Driver was hospitalized after what she described as a “near-death experience.”
After being released from the hospital, Driver shared a black-and-white video on Instagram showing herself walking along a road while reflecting on what she had been through.
In the video, she said, “Paris update. It sucks being traumatized. Like you look like you’re OK and you keep saying please and thank you and showing up but … You’re just not OK.”
Driver joked that she was now part of the “near-death experience club,” adding that she did not like being part of such a club.
The “Good Will Hunting” star said the frightening accident had left her feeling more deeply connected to sadness. She also said that trying to find meaning in what happened by accident was making her feel overwhelmed.
Driver suffered a sprained neck in the accident and said she had been crying “all the time” as she struggled with fear for her life.
