Google has introduced a new beta feature for language translation that allows users to listen to real-time translations directly.
The feature preserves the speaker’s voice style and tone, making it easier to understand conversations, lectures, and media content in foreign languages.
To use this feature, users need to open the Google Translate app and tap on the Live Translate option. They can then listen to the translation in their preferred language.
The beta feature is currently available for Android users in the United States, Mexico, and India. It supports more than 70 languages and works with any type of headphones.
Google said the feature will be expanded to iOS and more countries in 2026.

In addition, Google has rolled out updates to Translate based on its advanced Gemini technology. These updates make written translations sound more natural and better reflect context.

The update is currently available in the United States and India, supporting around 20 languages along with English, including Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and German.
