The official trailer for the eagerly awaited horror film Dracula has been released on the YouTube channel “Vertical,” exciting fans who have been anticipating the project for months.

Released on Wednesday, December 17, the trailer showcases Caleb Landry Jones as the legendary vampire, offering a glimpse into a dark and intense narrative: “A 15th-century prince (Caleb Landry Jones) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife (Zoë Bleu), renounces God, and condemns heaven itself. Cursed with immortality, he is reborn as Dracula, a warlord determined to reclaim his lost love from death at any cost. Yet, as he nears reunion, he faces a relentless priest (Christoph Waltz) who vows to end his eternal reign.”

The film’s cast also includes Guillaume de Tonquedec, Matilda de Angelis, Awens Abid, and Raphael Luce. Written, directed, and produced by Luc Besson, Dracula is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on February 6, 2026.

Drawing inspiration from Bram Stoker’s iconic 1897 novel, the movie stays true to the gothic horror roots that have captivated generations. Stoker’s masterpiece is celebrated for its mix of supernatural suspense, psychological depth, and historical richness.

The story immerses audiences in eerie, mysterious settings populated by supernatural beings, with locations like Transylvania, the vampire’s lair, and Whitby Abbey creating a chilling atmosphere.

Beyond the horror, it explores the psychological struggles of characters such as Jonathan Harker, Lucy Westenra, and Mina Murray, revealing their fears, desires, and vulnerabilities. Themes of obsession, forbidden desires, and the consequences of unchecked impulses run throughout the narrative.

Set during the late 19th century, Dracula reflects Victorian-era anxieties marked by rapid industrialization, social change, and the decline of traditional values. The vampire, a nocturnal and forbidden figure, embodies these cultural fears and fascinations.

The trailer promises a visually striking, suspense-filled adaptation that pays homage to one of literature’s most enduring and terrifying icons.
