David Corenswet has opened about a ‘wonderful’ conversation with former Superman actors, Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavil.
Corenswet plays the lead role in Superman 2025 alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Isabela Merced, and Bradley Cooper.
At the London premiere of the 2025 superhero movie, the Hollywood actor candidly shared advice that he received from former Superman actors.
Recalling the conversation, Corenswet said, “I was lucky enough to exchange letters with Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavill, two fellows who have played Superman before me.”
For those unversed, Cavil played the character in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movies, while Hoechlin played Superman in the CW’s Supergirl and Superman & Lois.
Revealing the words of wisdom from the duo, he told the outlet, “They both, in their way, sort of refrained from giving advice. There’s not much advice that we can give, you know? You sort of have to do your own thing.”
“It was really wonderful to get words of encouragement from them and then to be able to write to them and talk about how appreciative I was of the way that they had stewarded the character in their time,” the 31-year-old actor continued.
Before concluding, David Corenswet admitted that this conversation with them “was a special experience.”
Superman is scheduled to be released in cinemas on July 11, 2025.
