TAXILA: Pakistani TikToker Shamsoo Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gulmana, was allegedly shot dead by unidentified attackers in Taxila, Punjab, after two motorcyclists opened fire on the car, she was traveling in with her brother and sister, according to an FIR.
A murder case has been registered at Taxila Police Station on the complaint of Shamsoo Bibi’s father. The case includes charges related to murder, attempted murder and aiding the crime.
According to the FIR, Shamsoo Bibi received a phone call from a person identified as Kashif Kashi before leaving her home with her brother and sister. Her father said he was later informed that she had been shot.
He went to THQ Hospital Taxila, where he identified his daughter’s body. Shamsoo Bibi was struck by two bullets in the neck. Her brother and sister were also injured in the incident.
The FIR states that the victim’s son told police that a person riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle opened fire on their car. The shooting happened near a private petrol pump.
CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The footage reportedly shows two motorcyclists firing at the car. The video emerged two days after Shamsoo Bibi was killed.
According to the FIR, Shamsoo Bibi had a financial dispute with Kausar and Javed. The FIR alleges that the suspects arranged for her killing, either directly or through unidentified accomplices, with the intention of taking money.
The FIR also states that Shamsoo Bibi had told her family several times that she had received threats. Her brother told police that he would be able to identify the suspects if they were brought before him. Police have launched an investigation into the killing and are working to identify the attackers and determine the motive.
Shamsoo Bibi had around 1.3 million followers on TikTok, making her a well known creator on the platform. Police have not yet publicly identified the alleged attackers.
