The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2026 (Friday).

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), along with all banks and financial institutions, will remain closed on Friday, May 1, due to the public holiday for Labour Day.

In an official statement issued by SBP, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2026 (Friday), being a public holiday on the occasion of Labour Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”

Following this, all banks, microfinance banks, and development finance institutions across the country will also stay closed on May 1, 2026, in observance of Labour Day.
