Kelly Clarkson has announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude after seven seasons, saying the decision will allow her to focus on raising her children.
In a statement, the American singer, songwriter, and television personality expressed heartfelt gratitude to her crew and fans, describing herself as “extremely fortunate” to have worked with an outstanding team in both Los Angeles and New York. She said the show created countless memorable moments over its seven-season run.
Clarkson also thanked the band, production crew, guests, and loyal viewers for their continued support, while praising NBC for being a supportive and reliable partner throughout the show’s journey.
Explaining her decision to step away, Clarkson said that leaving the show’s demanding daily schedule would allow her to prioritize her children, calling it “necessary and right” for the next chapter of their lives. She clarified that her departure does not mark a farewell from the entertainment industry, adding that she will continue making music, performing occasionally, and may appear on The Voice in the future.
The announcement follows a difficult period in Clarkson’s personal life after the death of her former husband and ex-manager, Brandon Blackstock, in 2025. Blackstock, the father of her two children, passed away at the age of 48 following a three-year battle with cancer.
Launched in 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show featured Clarkson interviewing celebrities alongside everyday individuals with inspiring stories and went on to become a popular daytime television program.
