Yahya Abdul Mateen II has reacted after Marvel decided to cancel Wonder Man season two, thanking fans instead of letting the news bring him down.
The actor shared a message online after Disney+ confirmed the show would not return, even though it had earlier been renewed.
In his message, Yahya admitted the news was disappointing, but said that sometimes life does not go the way people expect.
He told fans to stay positive and said he believes everything will fall into place.
The actor also spoke about how much the show meant to him, saying his favourite part was seeing people enjoy it and reading the messages they sent him.
Yahya said that many fans told him the series gave them hope and reminded them to keep going, and he said those words meant a lot.
Before ending his post, he thanked everyone who watched Wonder Man and joked that he would “see you at the Emmys.”
The Marvel series first came out in January 2026 and received strong reviews from both critics and viewers. Many people praised its mix of comedy, action and emotional moments.
Even though the show has now come to an end, reports say the story may not be over.
People close to the project say Simon Williams could still appear in future Marvel projects, even if Wonder Man is not getting another season.
