Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that only a few “meaningful points” from Iran will be acceptable, adding that discussions will take place behind closed doors.

Speaking to US media, Trump confirmed that upcoming US-Iran negotiations will be held privately, while strongly criticizing the circulation of fake agreements and letters by irrelevant individuals.

He said such elements would be exposed after investigations, stressing that only specific, meaningful points from Iran are acceptable to the United States and will form the basis of talks.

Trump added that these same points led to the recent ceasefire agreement, noting that Lebanon is not part of the current ceasefire arrangement. He also indicated that direct face-to-face talks with Iran are expected to begin soon.

The US president further stated that Jordan is aware Israel is not part of the ceasefire, and suggested that Vice President JD Vance may not participate in the upcoming negotiations.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump has indicated a willingness to continue dialogue and cooperation with Iran in his latest social media post.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said the United States is prepared to work with Iran, claiming that a “productive regime change” has taken place in the country.

He further stated that there would be no uranium enrichment, adding that the U.S. would cooperate with Iran to remove nuclear material buried deep underground—reportedly referencing operations involving B-2 bomber capabilities.

Trump noted that such materials have remained under strict satellite monitoring by the United States Space Force, and claimed that nothing has been altered since the day of the strikes.

The U.S. president also revealed that discussions are underway regarding easing tariffs and sanctions on Iran, adding that both sides have already reached agreement on several points out of a proposed 15-point framework.
