Trump says Netanyahu wants me to stay in the war

U.S. President Donald Trump made strong remarks about Israel and Iran about two hours before meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Trump said Netanyahu wants to keep the United States involved in the war but insisted that he does not need Israel to direct his military decisions.

Trump said, “Netanyahu wants me to strike Mount Kazma because he wants me to stay in the war. I don’t have to. I don’t need Bibi to tell me what to do. Bibi says this only because he wants me to stay involved.”

He also urged Iran to reach an agreement and warned of possible military action if a deal is not reached.

Trump said, “If they don’t agree, I will hit all their bridges within an hour. Then I will hit all their power plants within a day. But I am thinking about the 91 million people there.”

He added that Iran has essentially agreed not to develop nuclear weapons but still needs to make that commitment official.

Trump said now is the right time for Iran to finalize an agreement, warning that if no deal is reached, the United States would “come back and finish the job.”
