DUBAI: A month packed with match-winning moments and remarkable individual performances has produced three strong contenders for cricket’s monthly crown.

England captain Harry Brook, West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves and Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan have been shortlisted for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for July after delivering standout performances that powered their teams in crucial international contests.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the nominees following their impressive displays across different formats. The three players played key roles for their respective sides, producing consistent performances with the bat and ball during important series.

    Harry Brook (England)

England captain Harry Brook was among the leading performers during his team’s home series against India, particularly in the T20 format, where he guided his side with an outstanding batting display.

Although Brook managed only 31 runs during the ODI series, he made a remarkable impact in the T20I campaign. He scored 229 runs in five matches at an average of 114.50 and a strike rate of 214.01, finishing as the series’ highest run-scorer and earning the Player of the Series award.

    Justin Greaves (West Indies)

West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves earned recognition for his valuable contributions with both bat and ball during home Test series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Greaves played a crucial innings of 180 runs against Sri Lanka, helping West Indies secure a series victory. Against Pakistan, he continued his impressive form by delivering match-winning bowling performances, including figures of five wickets for 27 runs in the first Test.

In July, Greaves scored 215 runs in two Test matches at an average of 71.66 and claimed eight wickets at an exceptional average of 10.25, underlining his all-round impact.

    Tanzid Hasan (Bangladesh)

Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan secured his place among the nominees after producing consistent performances during Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe.

The left-handed batter scored 159 runs in three ODI matches at an average of 53.00 and a strike rate of 89.83, helping Bangladesh recover from early setbacks on the tour.

He carried his form into the T20I series, adding 140 runs at an average of 70.00 and a strike rate of 127.27. Tanzid finished as Bangladesh’s leading run-scorer across both white-ball series.

The winner of the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for July will be decided through votes from the ICC Voting Academy and cricket fans worldwide.
