Taylor Swift has a new record on repeat.
The pop superstar revealed that she can’t stop listening to fellow musician Phoebe Bridgers’ new album, Lost Weekend. Swift, 36, made the admission while wishing Bridgers a happy 32nd birthday on Monday, August 17.
“It’s her birthday but she gave us a gift — Haven’t been able to stop listening,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories while sharing the album cover.
“This album is an absolute triumph in every way. To write about grief with such vulnerability and detail, and to trust the listener with this much honesty,” Swift continued. “Happy Bday @pheobebridgers I love you.”

The album, which was released on August 14, was written during a period of both loss and love for Bridgers, who returned to music this May after a two-year hiatus. Bridgers stepped away from the spotlight after her father, Tony Bridgers, passed away in 2023. A year prior to that, she went through a high-profile breakup with Paul Mescal after two years of dating.
A day after the album was released, Bridgers joined Swift for the wedding of recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk hosted at Real World Studios in England.
Swift and Bridgers’ friendship goes way back to 2021 when they collaborated on the From the Vault track Nothing New from Red (Taylor’s Version). Bridgers also opened for 12 nights of Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour in May 2023.
Bridgers sung praises of Swift while presenting Swift with the Innovators Award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards. “Taylor has always told the truth. She’s written songs from exactly where she is… I’m grateful to have grown up in a world with Taylor Swift in it.”
