As the Spice Girls reunited for Mel C’s wedding celebrations, Victoria Beckham was busy attending the World Cup final with her husband David Beckham.
But there were no hard feelings, as Melanie Chisholm explained while speaking to Australia’s KIIS 106.5 on Tuesday, August 4.
“Victoria was very disappointed to not be there. She was with David in New York and it was the football final, the World Cup,” Mel C shared. “She tried to get out of it. She isn’t the biggest football fan, she won’t mind me telling you, but the family were there and David had commitments being an ambassador for FIFA.”
While Posh Spice missed the ceremony in England, she still played a major role in the wedding. The fashion designer created both of Chisholm’s bridal gowns, including a custom dress for the English celebration after lending her own Lace Cami Dress for the couple’s first ceremony in Australia earlier this summer.
Chisholm married Chris Dingwall on July 19 in England surrounded by family, friends and fellow Spice Girls Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton. Victoria, meanwhile, was in New Jersey with husband and their children for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
