Sindh to release March salaries, pensions early for Eid

Sindh govt wants to make sure that Muslim employees and pensioners receive their payments before Eid.

The Sindh government has decided to pay March salaries, allowances, and pensions earlier than usual for Muslim employees and pensioners. This step is taken to help families manage their expenses as they prepare for Eid ul Fitr later this month.

According to a letter from the Sindh Finance Department, all Muslim government employees and pensioners will receive their full salaries, allowances, and pensions for March on March 16, 2026. This also includes workers who are paid under work-charged and contingent paid systems.

Normally, government salaries and pensions are paid on April 1, but this time they will be given earlier to support people before the Eid celebrations.

The decision was made because Eid ul Fitr is expected to be celebrated on March 20 or 21, depending on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.

By paying the money in advance, the Sindh government wants to make sure that Muslim employees and pensioners receive their payments before the Eid holidays so they can prepare for the festival without financial stress.
