QUETTA: Security forces killed 10 militants and wounded several others during an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district of Balochistan, security sources said Saturday.
According to the sources, the operation was conducted in the mountainous Shor Parod area following intelligence reports about the presence of militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan.
Security forces surrounded several militant hideouts in the area and launched an operation, triggering an intense exchange of fire. The militants were reportedly operating in three small groups.
The sources said 10 militants were killed and several others wounded during the clashes. Security forces have intensified search and clearance operations in the area and launched a search for militants who managed to escape.
The security forces vowed to continue operations against militant elements until terrorism is eliminated and said all necessary measures would be taken to bring those involved in militant activities to justice.

Earlier, Security forces killed five terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted in Panjgur on August 10, 2026, against terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan.
The ISPR said the operation aimed to eliminate proxies allegedly operating with Indian support and establish lasting peace in the area.
During the operation, security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the terrorists. The IEDs were defused at the site.
Following the operation, a sanitization operation was also carried out in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorist threats and ensure security, according to the ISPR.
