ISPR says intelligence-based operations target militant hideouts and recover weapons.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 32 terrorists during coordinated intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, targeting militant hideouts and networks, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

According to the ISPR, security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing comprehensive operations to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators across the country.

The military’s media wing said that multiple clearance and targeted operations were conducted in Khyber district during the night between July 28 and 29 based on intelligence reports.

During these operations, security forces effectively targeted terrorist positions, resulting in the killing of 24 militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij.

The ISPR further stated that several intelligence-based operations were carried out in Nushki district of Balochistan, where an intense exchange of fire took place. As a result, eight terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan were killed.

The statement added that weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by the terrorists were also recovered during the operations.

Sanitisation operations are currently underway in Khyber and Nushki to clear the areas of any remaining threats and ensure the elimination of terrorist networks and their facilitators.

The ISPR said that, under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam, security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their efforts against terrorism with full determination. It added that operations against terrorism supported by external elements will continue until the complete elimination of such threats.
