Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing backlash from social media users and royal experts over a new candid video the Duchess shared.
In the video, a heavily pregnant Meghan can be seen dancing to Starrkeisha’s The Baby Momma Dance in the delivery room before she had Princess Lilibet. Harry also dances with his wife in the video, which has sparked backlash.
Washington-based foreign policy expert Nile Gardiner took to X to share her thoughts on the matter and urged the royal family to strip the Sussexes of their titles.
“This is insane. The Queen would have been appalled. Meghan and Harry’s royal titles should be removed as soon as possible,” she wrote.
Royal biographer Angela Levin agreed, saying: “I’m appalled too. Just awful.”
The said video was shared by Meghan on her Instagram handle to mark Lilibet’s fourth birthday. Before the video, the Duchess of Sussex shared two posts, one containing pictures of Lilibet with Harry, and one with pictures of the four-year-old and herself.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as working royals in 2020 and were allowed to keep their HRH titles but told to not use them for business purposes.
