The adjustments come as international oil market volatility continues to affect consumers nationwide.

Kerosene oil prices in Pakistan have surged by Rs 70.73 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs 428.74 per liter, amid rising global oil prices.

This follows last week’s increase of Rs 39.20 per liter, making the total rise over the past two weeks Rs 120 per liter.

The adjustments come as international oil market volatility continues to affect consumers nationwide.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, however, has opted to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged, rejecting calls for further hikes.

He stated that during the Eid festive period, he turned down recommendations to raise petrol by Rs 50 and diesel by Rs 74 per liter.

The prime minister also highlighted that the government has already spent Rs 69 billion to prevent earlier proposed increases of Rs 127 for petrol and Rs 252 for diesel.
