Preventing schools from refusing to register with additional needs

The Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi confirmed that it is not allowed for private schools in Abu Dhabi, to refuse to register students with additional educational needs in the schools they choose, in any case, provided that the school has the capacity to receive them according to the appropriate class/ year, based on the principles of federal law No. 29 of 2006 regarding the rights and amendments of disabilities. In the school’s policy regarding the inclusion, which all schools must comply with in the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026, it clarified that the procedures for admission of students to schools must be obligated to the following: giving priority to attend students with additional educational needs and their brothers
