US President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, criticized Iran, accusing it of “playing games” with the United States and the rest of the world for the past 47 years.
Trump also targeted former President Barack Obama, claiming that his policies gave Iran a “new life” while sidelining US allies. He alleged that the Obama administration provided Iran with $1.7 billion in cash, describing it as an unprecedented amount that Iranian officials had never seen before.
According to Trump, the money was delivered in cash through planes and transported in suitcases and bags, suggesting that Iranian authorities were surprised by the scale of the funds. He further criticized both Obama and Joe Biden, calling their leadership damaging for the United States.
In his remarks, Trump also accused Iran of being involved in attacks that killed Americans and claimed that thousands of innocent people had been killed during recent protests in Iran. He added that while Iran had mocked the United States in the past, it would not be able to do so anymore.
