The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by thunder and snowfall in the western parts of the country from December 20 to 22, advising tourists and travelers to remain cautious.

According to the Met Office, a new system of westerly winds will enter Balochistan on December 19. By December 20, this weather system is expected to affect the upper regions of the country. Rain is likely in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while moderate snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas.

The forecast also predicts rain in Islamabad, the Potohar region, and Mianwali, while Murree and the Galiyat areas may experience both rain and snowfall. Most plain areas of Punjab are expected to remain cloudy, with chances of light drizzle.

During December 19 and 20, Sindh is likely to experience partly cloudy weather. Meanwhile, Balochistan may receive rain and snowfall between December 19 and 20.

The department has urged citizens, especially tourists and travelers in hilly areas, to take precautionary measures in view of the expected weather conditions.
