Sharjeel Inam Memon, Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, has announced the launch of a new electric bus route in Karachi under the People’s Bus Service to improve connectivity and expand the city’s public transport network.

In a statement, the minister said the new route starting operation from today and will run between Gulshan-e-Maymar and Tower.

He explained that the route has been introduced after the arrival of new electric buses and will further strengthen Karachi’s modern and environmentally friendly public transport system.

According to him, the expansion of the People’s Bus Service is part of the Sindh government’s plan to provide safe, affordable and comfortable travel facilities for citizens.

Memon said the new route will help improve connectivity between residential areas and commercial centres of the city, making daily travel easier for thousands of passengers.

He also said that the government will continue expanding the electric bus network in Karachi to promote sustainable transport, reduce environmental pollution and provide reliable public transport facilities to residents.
