NADRA introduces easy biometric verification method for vehicle transfers

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new verification service for buying and selling registered vehicles in Sindh.

The initiative, introduced in partnership with the Sindh government, allows citizens to verify vehicle details through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile app. This means people can check a vehicle’s credentials from home before completing the remaining registration steps at the relevant provincial offices. For more information, citizens can visit NADRA’s official website or call their helpline at 1777.

Earlier, NADRA had started a pilot project to improve access to its services through selected e-Sahulat franchises. Under this project, citizens can reprint lost Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and renew expired ones at designated e-Sahulat locations. The pilot currently covers 18 franchises in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

The move aims to reduce pressure on NADRA registration centres and make essential identity services more accessible at the community level.

    Details of the e-Sahulat franchises:
    Karachi:
