Neutering stray dogs alone will not provide a complete solution, and a more effective strategy is needed to address the problem, said Wahab.Referring to Turkey's decision to kill stray dogs, Wahab said that if the Karachi administration adopted a similar policy, it would face a campaign against it.The mayor stressed that public safety should take precedence over political debate on the stray dog issue.

He also urged the media to help build consensus on practical measures to protect citizens from dog bites and the risk of rabies.
