Demands Transparency in Public Funds

Masroor Nawaz called for a transparent review of healthcare procurement procedures and the utilisation of public funds.

He urged the authorities to investigate reported discrepancies in fund allocation and distribution, emphasising that public resources must be used efficiently to improve healthcare delivery.

Fair Anti-Encroachment Operations

Addressing anti-encroachment activities, Masroor Nawaz stressed that enforcement operations should be conducted fairly and without discrimination.

He criticised the alleged disproportionate targeting of small vendors and roadside stallholders while illegal parking and obstructions outside hotels, restaurants, private hospitals, banks and commercial establishments remained unaddressed.

He urged the district administration to ensure equal enforcement of anti-encroachment laws and remove obstacles affecting public movement.

District Administration’s Position

Meanwhile, district administration and health department officials maintained that public healthcare facilities were providing the best possible services despite limited resources.

Officials stated that relevant departments had been instructed to ensure impartial anti-encroachment operations and improve public service delivery.

The former MPA’s demands highlight the need for better healthcare infrastructure, transparent public spending and fair implementation of public welfare policies across Jhang.
