Kourtney Kardashian opened up about her tense dynamic with her stepdad Caitlyn Jenner, calling her “bossy and controlling stepdad.”
The Lemme founder made an appearance on sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, and they had a discussion about their bond with Caitlyn as their stepdad.
During the discussion, Khloe said that Caitlyn never forced herself as their dad. However, Kourtney disagreed with Khloe saying her experience with Caitlyn was totally opposite.
“[Caitlyn] never tried to be Dad and I always appreciated and respected that,” Khloe said referring to how things were balanced between their stepdad and their father Robert Kardashian Sr.
Kourtney has a different say on it, she replied, “Okay, so, that wasn’t my experience, but maybe that’s why it became your experience, so [I’m] grateful for that for you.”
According to Kourtney, Caitlyn “tried to be controlling and bossy” during her childhood and used to “tell her certain friends can’t come over.”
Recalling a clashing moment with the Olympian, Kourtney said, “I would be like, ‘I wanna call my Dad,’ and [Caitlyn] would hang up the phone. We would have yelling wars.”
Khloe shared her theory on why Kourtney had a different dynamic with Caitlyn, who was married to their mom Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2013, was may be due to her thinking that Caitlyn was replacing (their) Dad – not that he did, no one could replace Dad.”
