Kim Kardashian has ultimately talked about one regret she had over her famous Met Gala 2022 appearance.

In a short scene of a podcast after the latest episode of The Kardashians on November 27, the 45-year-old megastar talked about the night she wore Marilyn Monroe’s legendary “satisfied Birthday, Mr. President” dress. The dress has been stored safely in a museum for years, and most of the people criticized Kim for carrying this kind of ancient-style piece, but Kim’s regret isn’t about the dress at all.

Instead, she wished she had chosen an exceptional hairstyle. She said people advised her not to go for a full Marilyn Monroe appearance because it might make her look too much like a wax statue; nevertheless, Kim was determined to go blonde to suit the dress.

Looking back, Kim thinks she should have gone for a darker hairstyle—more like Jacqueline Kennedy’s iconic style.

“I must’ve done the dark, Jackie O vibes,” she said. Kim even admitted that she attempted editing her photos regularly afterward to see how she would have looked with different hair colors.

She additionally joked that she has been teasing her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, about that decision ever since.

The original dress, designed by Jean Louis, was made for Marilyn Monroe and was so tight that she had to be sewn into it before performing for President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
