Jessie Cave has opened up about why she joined OnlyFans and how it helped her deal with money problems.
The actress is best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies.
Jessie joined OnlyFans in 2025 but her page is not about nude or sexual content. She makes videos about her long hair, such as brushing and braiding it.
She said she was struggling with debt, expensive childcare and not getting enough acting work.
Many people assumed she must be rich because she was in Harry Potter but Jessie said that was not true.
“People just assume I’m rich and I have loads of money – and no, I don’t,” she said.
Jessie admitted that joining OnlyFans felt embarrassing because she would have preferred to get a normal job.
But with four children and high childcare costs, she needed another way to make money.
She called herself a “struggling artist” and said the platform “really has saved me”.
Her OnlyFans account has also caused some problems. Jessie said she was banned from one Harry Potter convention because organisers thought OnlyFans was connected to porn.
She said this made no sense to her because she only makes hair videos.
Despite everything, Jessie continues to work in acting, comedy and theatre.
