    Hollywood in shock as ‘Bloodsport’ star Donald Gibb dies at 71

    Hollywood is in mourning after the heartbreaking passing of veteran actor Donald Gibb best known for his iconic roles in Bloodsport and Revenge of the Nerds.

    The beloved actor died at the age of 71 in Texas, United States leaving fans across the world devastated.

    According to reports Gibb passed away on Tuesday, May 12, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. His son, Travis, confirmed that the actor had been battling serious health complications for a long time before his passing.

    In an emotional statement Travis said his father “loved the Lord, his family, friends, and fans with all his heart,” and requested privacy and prayers during this painful time, adding that Donald Gibb “will be deeply missed and forever remembered.”

    As the news broke fans flooded social media with emotional tributes and shock. Many called him an “icon of childhood memories,” while others expressed disbelief, writing messages such as “I didn’t want to see this today… RIP Ogre” and “OMG, him too!? He was a legend.”

    Born on August 4, 1954, Donald Richard Gibb rose to fame for his unforgettable role as “Ogre” in the Revenge of the Nerds film series. He also earned global recognition for playing Ray Jackson in the cult classic Bloodsport, a role that cemented his legacy in action cinema.

    His passing marks the end of an era as fans remember him not just as an actor but as a larger-than-life personality who brought energy, humor, and strength to every role he played.
