In a Q&A for her Beau Society newsletter, the 29-year-old singer explained that while she often thinks about returning to music, she isn’t planning to create anything at the moment.
She said music has always been very important to her and that if the timing feels right, she would easily go back to the studio.
However, she added that the music industry has changed a lot over the years, and she doesn’t feel as creatively inspired by it as she used to. She also mentioned that she appreciates the way Charli XCX writes songs.
Hailee hasn’t released new music in three years. She started her career as an actress in the movie True Grit and later began singing in Pitch Perfect 2. Some of her popular songs include Wrong Direction, Starving, and At My Best.
