KARACHI: Gold and silver prices registered a notable increase in both international and domestic markets on Monday, reflecting a strong upward trend in precious metals.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce surged by $30, reaching $5,138.

Following the global uptrend, gold prices in the local market also witnessed a significant rise. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs3, 000 to settle at Rs534, 562.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs2, 572, reaching Rs460, 015.

Silver prices also followed the upward trajectory. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs146 to Rs9, 094, while the rate for 10 grams of silver increased by Rs125 to Rs7, 796.

Market analysts attribute the rise to fluctuations in global bullion prices and currency exchange rates, which continue to influence local trading patterns.
