Karachi: According to Pakistan Metrological department Karachi is set to witness the city’s first winter rain tonight, bringing relief from the lingering dry spell but also a sharp drop in temperatures.
Light showers or drizzle are expected Monday and Tuesday midnight, creating a wintry ambiance as the city experiences its seasonal chill.
Today, temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 13.5°C to a maximum of 28°C, with humidity recorded at 70% and calm winds.
Dense fog has already reduced visibility to just 3 kilometers in some areas, adding a crisp, chilly atmosphere to the bustling metropolis.
The sky will remain mostly cloudy, setting the perfect scene for the city’s first taste of winter precipitation.

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has confirmed the firm arrival of winter across the country, as cold temperatures, dense fog, and scattered precipitation set in, creating a chilling start to the week. Northern mountains are bracing for snowfall, while cold conditions extend across most regions.
Northern and Central Pakistan: Dense fog is expected during mornings and nights in northern and southern Punjab, as well as the upper Sindh plains.
Islamabad and surrounding areas will experience cold temperatures under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Adjacent Hills: Evening and night hours may bring scattered rain showers, gusty winds, and occasional thunderstorms.
Higher altitudes, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan, are likely to witness snowfall, intensifying winter conditions in the mountains.
Balochistan: Rain and snow are expected in hilly districts including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah. Other areas such as Noshki, Zhob, Qalat, Barkhan, Musa Khel, and Turbat may receive scattered rainfall.
Coastal and southern districts including Gwadar, Lasbela, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Washuk, and Kharan are likely to experience gusty winds and localized rain with occasional thunderstorms.
Southern Sindh and Plains: Morning and night fog, along with a drop in temperature, is expected in Hyderabad, Sukkur, and surrounding areas, adding to the winter chill.
