MEXICO CITY: The official song for the FIFA World Cup 2026, titled “Dai Dai,” has been officially released, FIFA announced.

The track has been recorded by Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy, featuring their signature vocal styles.

According to FIFA, the song has been launched in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, with proceeds aimed at improving education for children worldwide.

Shakira has pledged her royalties from the song to the education fund, while the music production company has also contributed an initial donation of $250,000.

The official World Cup 2026 anthem is now available on all major streaming platforms, with additional tracks expected to be released in the coming weeks as part of the tournament’s official album.

FIFA also confirmed that for the first time, the World Cup final will feature a halftime show. Shakira is expected to perform during the event, alongside global music stars including Madonna and K-pop group BTS.

Earlier, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final is set to make history as global superstars Madonna, Shakira, and BTS are officially confirmed as the headlining performers for the tournament’s first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show.

The spectacular 11-minute performance will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, during the World Cup final.

The segment marks a historic shift in FIFA entertainment blending elite football with a high-profile global music showcase.

The announcement was unveiled through a vibrant promotional Instagram video curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, featuring appearances from Sesame Street and The Muppets characters, along with a surprise FaceTime call with BTS sparking massive excitement across social media.
