Pakistan celebrated another major achievement in international sports as taekwondo athlete Ehsanullah Mehsud won the gold medal at the Thailand International Taekwondo Championship after an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Mehsud secured the title by defeating his Sri Lankan opponent in the final, completing the competition undefeated. His performance highlighted his skill, determination and consistency against strong competitors from across the region.
He opened the tournament with a convincing victory over a competitor from Kazakhstan in the opening round. In the semifinals, he delivered another impressive performance by defeating an Indian opponent to qualify for the final.
In the championship match, Mehsud continued his winning form and defeated the Sri Lankan competitor to claim the gold medal for Pakistan.
