SEOUL: BTS member Jimin’s solo track “Who” has surpassed 2.5 billion streams on Spotify, becoming his most streamed song as fans worldwide continue celebrating the global success of his second solo album “Muse.”

Jimin’s agency, BigHit Music, announced Saturday that the song reached the milestone on Thursday, marking another major achievement in the singer’s solo career, which released in July 2024.

The track combines hip-hop and R&B influences while exploring themes of love, uncertainty and emotional searching, the song follows the perspective of someone longing to find a person they have not yet met, creating a message centered on hope and connection.

Since its release, “Who” has gained strong international attention and became one of Jimin’s biggest solo successes. The song’s achievement on Spotify highlights his growing influence as a solo artist beyond BTS group activities.

The track also performed strongly on major music charts, debuting at No.14 on the Billboard Hot 100. It later climbed to No.12, marking its highest position on the chart, the song remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, showing its continued popularity among global listeners.

Jimin’s achievement also reflects the increasing global reach of Korean music, with K-pop artists continuing to break streaming records and attract audiences across different countries.

With billions of streams on Spotify and strong chart performance, “Who” has established itself as a defining moment in Jimin’s solo journey, further strengthening his position as a leading figure in the global music industry.
