Princess Kate shone on Friday during her “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey, where she attended with Prince William and their three children. The royal family shared on Instagram that it was special to gather for this year’s service and thanked everyone who helped make the event warm and memorable.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew, were noticeably missing. Eugenie later wrote on Instagram that she and Beatrice wished they could have been there and sent warm wishes to the Prince and Princess of Wales, praising the carol service and its message of love and hope.

Earlier, it was reported that Kate had extended an olive branch to Andrew’s daughters by inviting them to the Christmas event, despite recent tensions within the family. King Charles III had stripped Andrew of his royal titles on Oct. 30 and removed him from Royal Lodge due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to royal commentator Neil Sean, both Beatrice and Eugenie received personal invitations from Kate’s office, and he noted that Kate has full control over the project, much like William does with Earshot. He added that the royal family wants to show unity after a difficult year.

Kensington Palace previously announced that Kate, 43, would host her fifth “Together at Christmas” carol service on Dec. 5. The palace said the service aims to bring people together and celebrate love in all its forms within families, friendships, communities and even through small but meaningful moments with strangers.

They added that in a world that feels divided, love connects people across generations and cultures, and the evening would highlight how powerful compassion and togetherness can be.

King Charles and Queen Camilla did not attend the event and have not joined the carol service since 2022.
