Apple plans to launch an iPhone 19 Air with a larger display in the second half of 2027, as part of the company’s evolving product strategy.

According to report outlining Apple’s roadmap through 2027, the iPhone 19 Air will feature a larger display compared to the iPhone 18 Air model that’s expected to debut a year earlier.o

Apple is rumored to be launching a new iPhone model called the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be thinner and lighter than current models.

While the exact dimensions aren’t confirmed, it’s expected to feature a 6.6-inch display—larger than the regular iPhone 17 but smaller than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The term “Air” likely refers to Apple’s push for an ultra-slim design, and it may debut as early as this September.

This new addition is part of Apple’s broader strategy to offer more variety in its iPhone lineup, especially in response to growing competition, particularly from Chinese smartphone makers.

Looking further ahead, Apple is reportedly planning to launch its first foldable iPhone in late 2026, with a second version coming in 2027. That same year, Apple is expected to release an even larger version of the iPhone Air—possibly called the iPhone 19 Air—and introduce at least one model with a truly edge-to-edge display, marking the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.
