Andrew Garfield can’t wait to catch Spider-Man: Brand New Day in theatres.
Speaking to Page Six ahead of the film’s release, the former Spider-Man star said he’s “very, very excited” to see Tom Holland suit up once again as Peter Parker.
“I’m very, very excited to see the film,” Garfield said at a screening of his new movie The Magic Faraway Tree in New York City on July 30. The actor also shared his admiration for Holland, adding, “I think Tom is an incredible actor playing that character, and I love him and support him, and just want the best for him.”
Garfield’s praise didn’t stop there. “I love Tom. I love Spider-Man; I always have loved Spider-Man since I was 3 years old,” he added.
The 42-year-old portrayed the iconic superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), taking over the role after Tobey Maguire before Holland became the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Peter Parker.
The trio famously united in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, delighting fans by bringing together three generations of Spider-Men in one blockbuster.
