New platform connects seamlessly with DingTalk, Slack, Teams, and WeChat, offering a unified interface for sophisticated business workflows.

Alibaba Group has launched a new artificial intelligence platform, Wukong, aimed at enhancing enterprise automation and consolidating its position in China’s rapidly evolving AI agent sector. The announcement underscores the company’s strategic focus on intelligent business solutions.

Wukong is designed to coordinate multiple AI agents within a single, integrated interface, allowing organisations to manage complex tasks efficiently.

Capabilities include document preparation, spreadsheet management, meeting transcription, and research operations. The platform is currently accessible through an invitation-only beta programme.

The release follows Alibaba’s recent restructuring under the newly established Alibaba Token Hub (ATH), highlighting a company-wide commitment to enterprise-focused AI initiatives. Wukong represents the flagship product of the Wukong Business Unit within this division.

The platform can be used as a standalone desktop application or via DingTalk, Alibaba’s corporate communication platform, which serves over 20 million business users.

Wukong will also integrate with other messaging platforms, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WeChat, enabling seamless interoperability.

The launch comes amid growing interest in AI agent technologies, particularly following the widespread adoption of OpenClaw, an open-source AI tool that has gained significant traction in China’s tech community.

While the trend is fostering rapid innovation, it has also attracted regulatory scrutiny concerning data security and operational reliability.

Other major players, including ByteDance, Tencent, and AI start-up Zhipu AI, have introduced similar enterprise AI solutions, intensifying competition in this burgeoning market.
