The School Education and Literacy Department Sindh has announced new school timings across the province in observance of Ramadan. The revised schedule applies to both government and private schools, including primary, secondary, and higher secondary institutions.

According to the official notification, single-shift schools will now operate from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. In double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while the second shift will operate from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM. On Fridays, single-shift schools will close earlier, with timings from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

These new timings aim to facilitate students and staff during the holy month of Ramadan, ensuring a balance between religious observance and educational activities.

The department emphasized that the revised schedule will be effective across all schools in Sindh, irrespective of their management status.

The Zonal Ru’yat-e-Hilal Committee in Islamabad will hold a session today at 5:30 PM at the Ministry of Religious Affairs for sighting of Ramadan moon.
