Miley Cyrus is putting out an intimate visual album titled Something Beautiful and also opening up about the hardest time of her life.

During a Spotify screening of her upcoming album on May 6, the Wrecking Ball singer recalled the time after her Malibu home burned down in 2018 due to wildfires.

When the Grammy winner was asked about advice she’d give her younger self, she replied, “When my house burned down, that was the biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life, actually.”

“Losing everything and being able to rebuild, and to be able to be purposeful and choose every piece that I’m gonna collect or also just about the people in my life,” continued Cyrus.

“And I guess for me, when my house burned down, a lot of my relationships also burned down, and that again just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude,” she said of the house she shared with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

“I think what I would have told my younger self is to appreciate those darker times because, like I said, they are only leading you into the light,” she reflected.

She also gushed over her fans, most of whom grew up with her and have been by her side since the Hannah Montana days.

“People say we grew up together, and we really did,” said the Party in the USA hitmaker. “And it’s definitely what makes, I think, this film so magical and so potent is that all of us have kind of created it together, and it’s cool to be in a room full of people I’ve never met, you know, or strangers, and, you know, you’re not that strange.”

“We’re all a little strange, but that’s what I think has made all of us really, kind of hold on to the relationship that we have,” continued Miley Cyrus. “It’s cool to be able to go into a room with people I haven’t met and be like, ‘Remember when my house burned down?’ And you guys are like, ‘Yeah.’ ‘Remember when my fish died?’ ‘Yeah.'”
