ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has released fresh details regarding the ongoing Operation “Ghazab Lil Haq” against the Afghan Taliban.

According to the minister, Pakistan’s retaliatory actions resulted in the killing of 481 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime, while more than 696 others were injured.

He stated that Pakistani armed forces destroyed 226 check posts and took control of 35 positions. Additionally, 198 tanks, armed vehicles, and artillery guns belonging to the Afghan Taliban regime were reportedly destroyed.

The minister further claimed that 56 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted in aerial operations.

    Claim Regarding Bagram Air Base

Meanwhile, a report by The New York Times claimed that during Operation “Ghazab Lil Haq,” Pakistan successfully targeted the strategically significant Bagram Air Base.

According to the newspaper, the strike damaged one aircraft hangar and two warehouses at the airbase. The report added that satellite images have also surfaced, allegedly showing the extent of the damage.

No independent confirmation of these claims has yet been made by Afghan authorities.
