Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire in Gaza, with the latest attacks killing 11 Palestinians, including three journalists.
According to international media reports, at least 11 Palestinians have been killed in recent Israeli strikes, among them two children and three journalists, while six others were injured.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health Director General, Munir Al-Barsh, said the three journalists were working for the Egyptian Aid Committee for Gaza and were documenting a newly established camp for displaced people in central Gaza at the time of the attack.
The martyred journalists were identified as Anas Ghanim, Abdul Raouf Shaath, and Mohammad Qashta. One more person was also killed in the same strike. Videos circulating on social media show a destroyed vehicle following the attack.
Committee spokesperson Mohammad Mansour stated that the vehicle was known to the Israeli military and was targeted about five kilometers away from an Israeli-controlled area. Israeli military radio, quoting a security source, claimed the individuals in the vehicle were collecting information using a drone.
In a separate attack in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, three members of the same family, including a child, were killed. In southern Gaza’s Bani Suheila area, a 13-year-old boy was shot dead by Israeli fire while collecting firewood, while a 32-year-old woman was also killed near Khan Younis. Reports also confirm the killing of two more Palestinians in northern Gaza.
Palestinian officials say Israel has repeatedly violated the US-brokered ceasefire that came into effect on October 10. They add that Israel continues to restrict the entry of food, medical aid, and shelter supplies into Gaza, where 2.2 million people are facing a severe humanitarian crisis amid cold weather.
