International experts emphasized that the real progress in supporting people with intellectual disabilities is not measured by the number of tools or the intensity of therapeutic sessions, but rather by the extent to which they enable them to communicate and express self and make decisions and live a more independent and rich life, by taking advantage of support support techniques. This came during a session “We are talking, we participate, make teams … methods for providing good support”, within the activities of the first day of the World Congress 2025 “We contain”.
