Donald Trump said that, five countries involved in mediation efforts.

US President Donald Trump says that he warned Benjamin Netanyahu over the past day that Israel could find itself alone against Iran if it escalated the conflict further.

In an interview, Trump revealed that the United States was informed about Israel’s strike on Iran only at the last moment. He said he had a telephone conversation with Netanyahu the previous night and advised him to avoid military action in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks.

Donald Trump said that, five countries involved in mediation efforts requested that he pressure Netanyahu to prevent further escalation. He also claimed that Iranian officials had contacted the United States and assured Washington that no additional attacks would be carried out.

US president said he later spoke with Netanyahu again and persuaded him to refrain from launching further strikes. Trump expressed optimism about diplomacy, stating that an agreement with Iran remains possible and that Tehran is still interested in signing a deal.

He emphasized the importance of avoiding a wider regional conflict and continuing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between Israel and Iran.
