Travis Kelce’s first ever podcast episode after the Taylor Swift wedding just came out, and much to fans’ happiness it began with a debrief of their big day.
Jason Kelce left the introductory part of New Heights season five to Travis and the NFL star, 36, showed off his ring, declaring, “I’m a married man!”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then gave a run-down of how the ceremony went, saying, “At this point we are what one month out, it’s been so much fun, it was insane, it was a night I’ll never forget, me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up from the vows to the seeing everyone, and how much fun we had that evening, and hearing that being relieved through everyone’s stories of that night.
Travis continued, “It was just magical man, I wish it could have lasted longer than that, once the drinks got served everyone started moving out. I wanna thank everyone at MSG, we wanted it to do it somewhere where we could have intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions and we needed to have a private feel, and MSG went above and beyond to give us that and I can’t thank everybody enough, not just who showed up but helped put that show on.”
In a special dedication to Adam Sandler, who officiated the wedding, Travis noted, “I wanna give a special thank you to Adam Sandler, he was the best person on this planet, for him to be up to get in on the day and marrying me and Taylor and in the way he did it, in the very Sand-man style, and giving us more than what we could’ve imagined at that moment, knowing that it was the biggest night of our lives, it was absolutely insane man…”
He told listeners that “it was very cool to see how everyone interacted, with no phones, everyone is on guard, it makes everyone be in the moment and present, it was cool to see friends of my childhood and of Taylor’s all the way to people we encountered through our careers and became good friends with… we wanted it to be a beautiful ceremony and made sure everyone left there having some fun.”
