Toronto police hunt three masked suspects after family shot in home invasion

Police initially described two victims' injuries as life-threatening, but later said they were considered life-altering.

Two people remain in hospital.Inspector Kristy Smith said the intruders demanded valuables, although investigators have not established whether anything was stolen.The suspects escaped before emergency crews arrived, reportedly fleeing in an SUV.
